Steve Yonck Guitar Photo by Bradley Hanson Steve was born in a one-room country shack in Belzonia, Mississippi. He left school at the age of six to earn his musical stripes in the rough and rowdy gin mills of Beaumont, Texas. Steve spent several years on the road with Little Son Junior Lightning, for whom he served as valet, driver, and back-up guitarist. Steve finally turned his life around at the age of 19 by getting his GED and earning a full scholarship to MIT, from which he graduated in 1996 with a career in nuclear engineering. Fortunately for music fans, Steve turned his life right back again four years later, when he quit a job with the Chinese government (don't ask), got his Les Paul out of pawn, moved to Seattle and joined the Hudson Blues Band. After learning that he could make an additional $4 a night with the Mighty Titans of Tone and that his guitar strings would be paid for, Steve joined that fabled aggregation. |
